Poongsan FNS Corp. was established in 1973 to produce precision machinery products. In particular, it specialized in fuse products and sensors for the defense sector, while developing and producing nuclear fuel assembly (WH-type top and bottom nozzle) parts and specialty tools for the civilian sector. Poongsan had acquired Poongsan FNS Corp. in March of 2004 to marry its traditional ammunition production expertise to Poongsan FNS's precision fuse manufacturing to develop state-of-the-art ammunition.
